House Committee Wants To Talk With FCC's Martin
November 17, 2008 at 5:35 AM (PT)
Rep. JOHN D. DINGELL (D-MI), chairman of the House Commerce and Energy Committee, and Rep. BART STUPAK (D-MI), chairman of the subcommittee on oversight and investigations, are calling on FCC Chairman KEVIN MARTIN to meet with the committee as part of its investigation of FCC practices and management.
DINGELL and STUPAK sent a letter to MARTIN last week calling on him to meet with committee staff by the end of this week. The committee is probing the FCC and is set to release a report on the matter, and DINGELL and STUPAK are complaining that MARTIN's office has failed to respond to the committee's request for an interview.
