KLOS' Mark And Brian Launch Reality "Experiment"
January 13, 2006 at 4:19 PM (PT)
ABC Rocker KLOS/LOS ANGELES and THE MARK & BRIAN RADIO PROGRAM will present the nation’s first reality radio show and social experiment entitled 2 STRANGERS AND A WEDDING beginning today and culminating on MARCH 3rd with a spectacular wedding event where the bride and groom will meet for the first time - at the altar - live on-air. The experiment will take place over the next seven weeks, during which Mark and Brian and their listening audience will conduct a series of auditions and interviews to select two complete strangers who will ultimately become husband and wife.
Want-to-be brides can submit their information via an online application at www.955KLOS.com (application deadline for brides is: JANUARY 25 at 10A, and FEBRUARY 8 at 10a for grooms). KLOS will screen the applicants and narrow the search down to five bride finalists who will be put through an intensive interview process on the MARK & BRIAN RADIO PROGRAM during the week of January 30. Each finalist will undergo tremendous scrutiny from Mark and Brian, their listening audience and a specialized team of advisors that will include a relationship expert, an astrologer and even a lie detector. MARK and BRIAN, along with their listening audience, will choose the bride-to-be and then, with her help, will repeat the whole process to find the most suitable match to be her groom. The pair will meet for the first time at a spectacular wedding where they will be wed in front of an audience of hundreds of friends, family members, KLOS listeners and press. The couple will then be sent on a honeymoon vacation courtesy of KLOS.
“The best thing about ‘2 STRANGERS’” said Program Director, RITA WILDE, “is that at this stage we have no bride, no groom and no idea how the story will end. Whether or not it’s a fairytale wedding is in the hands of our listeners and, of course, the couple themselves.” For more information, please contact STEVE SHELDON at (310) 840-4943.
