Ofcom Moves To Yank KCR License

POLARIS MEDIA's Classic Hits KCR FM/KNOWSLEY, ENGLAND, presently off the air and locked out of its building for nonpayment of rent, has been informed by OFCOM that the agency is pursuing procedures for revoking the station's license.
POLARIS took over the troubled station in SEPTEMBER, and OFCOM issued a "yellow card" warning to the station for "no local content, information or news" in OCTOBER. The station went off the air on NOVEMBER 27th. A license revocation would be OFCOM's first such move.
