Commercial Station Asks Listeners For Donations

Talk KSCO-A/SANTA CRUZ, CA owner MICHAEL ZWERLING is asking listeners to donate to the commercial station to keep it on the air. The station's website sports PAYPAL links asking for $10.80 a month (corresponding to the station's frequency) to "help us keep quality programming on the air."
ZWERLING tells the SAN FRANCISCO EXAMINER's BRAD KAVA, "It's just a struggle. There's a lot of things I want to do with that station, but I can't do it unless we get some more money coming in. I'd like to get it from advertisers, but that isn't always there."
