The public relations firm MWW GROUP has been hired by the NAB, RAB and other industry groups to help spread its ongoing "Radio Heard Here" campaign. BRANDREPUBLIC.COM reports that THE HD RADIO ALLIANCE is also a strategic partner in the nine-month-old marketing push.
Although "Radio Heard Here" was launched in APRIL, the PR campaign kicked in mid-DECEMBER. At that time, the MWW was chosen to spread the word. Their contract to push the campaign runs for one year; their budget during that time wasn't disclosed, but O'KEEFE BRANDS Chairman KELLY O'KEEFE noted that the campaign's two-year budget is estimated to cost several million dollars.
"We want to [engage] the public in new and interesting ways online with social networking, and offline with more promotion," O'KEEFE said. "With the [ad and marketing] industry, it's time to remind them of just how relevant [radio] is in a multiplatform world."
