ALISTAIR MACKENZIE has resigned as a director of U.K. group THE LOCAL RADIO COMPANY. MACKENZIE has been rumored to be joining RICHARD WHEATLEY, who recently exited as non-executive director from the board, in a bid to buy digital station JAZZ FM from the company.
Non-Executive Chairman ANTHONY GUMBINER said, "We would like to thank ALASTAIR for the contribution he has made to the Company over the years and wish him well in the future."
