3 Noncomms Face FCC Fines For Underwriting Violations

The FCC has proposed a fine of $5,000 against JONES COLLEGE for underwriting announcement violations at noncommercial WKTZ/JACKSONVILLE. The fine is based on eight announcements about for-profit entities airing within a prerecorded show, "SWINGTIME."
Another proposed fine is against CAYUGA COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE in the amount of $2,500 for airing prohibited advertisements on noncommercial WDWN/AUBURN, NY. The alleged ads aired during the broadcast of a minor league AUBURN DOUBLEDAYS baseball game.
And MINISTERIO RADIAL CRISTO VIENE PRONTO, INC. is also facing a proposed $2,500 fine for airing prohibited ads on noncommercial WCRP/GUAYAMA, PR.
