Jerry Doyle's '4% Solution' Echoed In Senate

TALK RADIO NETWORK host JERRY DOYLE's idea about how to help homeowners in the economic downturn has an echo on CAPITOL HILL, as Sen. LAMAR ALEXANDER (R-TN) proposed a similar plan as an amendment to the stimulus bill.
On his JANUARY 8th and 21st shows, DOYLE proposed a "4% solution," having all banks offer 4% 30-year fixed-rate mortgages, saving homeowners hundreds of dollars per month. ALEXANDER's amendment would have done the same, but was rejected in a vote along party lines. DOYLE says that the plan "should not die in last week's vote in the Senate," and has invited ALEXANDER and Sen, JOHN ENSIGN (R-NY) on the show to talk about the idea.
