Aides to Rep. HENRY WAXMAN (D-CA), chairman of the HOUSE ENERGY AND COMMERCE COMMITTEE, are denying a report in the AMERICAN SPECTATOR that they met with the FCC staff to not only bring back the "Fairness Doctrine," but apply it to the Internet.
A spokesperson for the committee told FOX NEWS that the report was "fictitious" and "false and was written without any documentation or attribution." FCC spokesman DAVID FISKE said, "We're not sure that it's an accurate article."
