Red Wolf Broadcasting Acquires WURH

RED WOLF BROADCASTING announced TODAY (2/19) that it has reached an agreement to purchase Alternative WURH (fm 104 one)/HARTFORD from the ALOHA STATION TRUST. Terms of the deal for the former CLEAR CHANNEL station undisclosed, while pending FCC approval.
RED WOLF owner -- a local CONNECTICUT broadcaster -- JOHN FULLER said, "I am very excited to expand my reach and get involved in the communities WURH-FM serves." He also added, "The station has superb coverage from NORWALK to NEW LONDON, CONNECTICUT and north to SPRINGFIELD, MASSACHUSETTS covering almost two million people with a Rock format."
RED WOLF BROADCASTING VP/Programming BRIAN RAM will add PD duties of fm 104.1 one. RAM said, "This station will be run for CONNECTICUT by residents of CONNECTICUT. It’s an exciting time to grow our local company with a station of this caliber."
