National syndicator MANNGROUP RADIO has started distribution of the IF.NET online contest platform for radio stations and network programs. The platform, part of a joint venture between CBS TELEVISION DISTRIBUTION and MADISON ROAD ENTERTAINMENT, was tested last winter.
The goal of IF.NET is to increase radio station and network revenues by offering a turn-key way to extend advertiser presence from on-air to online through the use of viral tools such as a dedicated social network, enabling stations to collect higher CPMs for their website traffic. Users are able to enter contests and enlist their friends to participate, driving mass awareness for the station and its advertisers.
"Now we can put radio contests to work in a way that promises better financial results for everyone." MANNGROUP Pres. ED MANN said. "This innovative tool allows stations and network programs to make money two ways: through an upsell to their advertisers associated with any promotion they air, and by selling the enormous growth of eyeballs on their website."
"This platform has been through a lot of testing and we've never seen results like these," MADISON ROAD Managing Partner JAK SEVERSON added. "A couple hundred contestants can regularly generate fifty thousand impressions or more per day for some of our branded contests. That kind of virality can expect dramatically higher ad rates."
