MEGA MEDIA GROUP, the company that operates Dance WNYZ-LP (PULSE 87)/NEW YORK using the audio portion of an LPTV on channel 6 as a radio station, is poised to do the same in LOS ANGELES and CHICAGO with a deal to use the audio portions of VENTURE TECHNOLOGIES GROUP, LLC's LPTVs in those markets. The deal, which would see MEGA leasing LPTVs KSFV-CA/SAN FERNANDO VALLEY-LOS ANGELES and WLFM-LP/ROCHELLE, IL-CHICAGO, both on channel 6, hinges on formal leases being signed by MARCH 31st with programming launching on JUNE 1st.
MEGA CEO ALEX SHVARTS said, "LOS ANGELES and CHICAGO would be ideal for the expansion of PULSE 87 and make us a national radio brand covering the three top billing markets which generate in excess of $1.8 billion dollars of advertising revenue a year."
KSFV operates from LOS ANGELES' primary antenna farm on MOUNT WILSON. WLFM operates with a directional antenna atop the JOHN HANCOCK CENTER in CHICAGO.
