SAGA's PORTLAND RADIO GROUP is shuffling its AM programming, relaunching Talk WZAN-A with a new lineup as "MAINE'S TALK RADIO." ABC RADIO NETWORKS' IMUS IN THE MORNING returns after a two-year absence. Also in the lineup are TALK RADIO NETWORK's LAURA INGRAHAM, ABC's JOE SCARBOROUGH and SEAN HANNITY, TRN's MICHAEL SAVAGE, WESTWOOD ONE's LARS LARSON, and WOR RADIO NETWORK's DR. JOY BROWNE. HANNITY also airs on tape delay on sister Talk WGAN-A.
"In a time when interest in the national political and economic issues is at an all-time high, WGAN's listenership has reached record levels," said GM CARY PAHIGIAN. "Now, more than ever, there’s a demand for Talk radio, and we saw an opportunity to fill that need with two of Talk’s biggest names anchoring an all-star lineup of personalities."
The "RADIO FOR MEN" lineup has shifted to WBAE-A/PORTLAND and WVAE-A/BIDDEFORD, formerly Adult Standards. The lineup at the 1400-1490 simulcast includes PREMIERE's BOB AND TOM, ENVISION's LEX AND TERRY, and WESTWOOD ONE's MIKE O'MEARA and LOVELINE. WESTWOOD ONE's ADAM CAROLLA is listed as continuing 7-10p, but the show has been discontinued and is in reruns for the remainder of the month.
