ROBBINS/NASHVILLE VP/Promotion TONY BENKEN and Dir/Nat. Promotion JOE REDMOND have exited the label as ROBBINS decides to outsource all of its promotion efforts. Both BENKEN and REDMOND joined the label in 2007.
BENKEN previously held the title of VP/Nat. Promotion for CATEGORY 5 RECORDS/NASHVILLE and BROKEN BOW RECORDS/NASHVILLE. He has also worked for UNIVERSAL RECORDS SOUTH, VIRGIN RECORDS, RCA RECORDS and NINE NORTH. He said, "I have nothing but positive feelings towards label President CORY ROBBINS and his whole operation. Unfortunately, this economy affects us all, and it proved to be a better business decision for CORY to outsource his promotion effort. I can't say enough good things about JOE REDMOND, either, and he would be a tremendous asset to any organization."
REDMOND, who started with ROBBINS as the Dir./Promotion, Northeast before being promoted in DECEMBER, most recently worked for LOFTON CREEK RECORDS/NASHVILLE. He has also held positions at WARNER BROS/NASHVILLE, IMPRINT RECORDS, MJI BROADCASTING and MEDIABASE.
