Hal Gaba Succumbs To Cancer

Entertainment industry figure HAL GABA died at his home in LOS ANGELES on MONDAY after battling cancer for less than a year. According to the SAN JOSE MERCURY NEWS, he was 63.
GABA was the co-owner and Chairman of the CONCORD MUSIC GROUP and co-Chairman of VILLAGE ROADSHOW PICTURES, makers of "Gran Torino." He merged with the U.S.-based film production division of Australia's Village Roadshow to form VILLAGE ROADSHOW ENTERTAINMENT GROUP in 2008. He started CONCORD MUSIC GROUP with noted TV producer NORMAN LEAR. The two previously started up ACT III COMMUNICATIONS.
GABA is survived by his wife CAROLE, his daughters LAUREN and ELIZABETH, and his mother, sister and brother.
