Gale Wins Rumble On The Row

At the FACTORY in FRANKLIN, TN FRIDAY night (3/13), there was mixed crowd of music industry folks along with the NASHVILLE 'high-society' philanthropist types, all gathered for a good cause- and a good fight.
The boxing match, billed as the "RUMBLE ON THE ROW," pitted CURB/NASHVILLE VP ADRIAN MICHAELS against RCA/NASHVILLE VP KEITH GALE. The fight was part of an evening of music, food, drinking, silent auctions and 2 other sanctioned boxing matches. The event was a benefit for the CHARLEY FOUNDATION, which is spear-headed by NASHVILLE Manager/Publisher CAROLYN MILLER. She named the foundation after her dad CHARLEY, who passed from cancer, and the group raises millions that is then funneled to worthy children based organizations such as the MAKE-A-WISH FOUNDATION. One of the auction items, a private jet-ride to FLORIDA for a KENNY CHESNEY concert, raised more than $15,000.
At 10p (CT) GALE and MICHAELS rolled into the ring with everyone on their feet, for the 3-round match. After months of hard training from both camps, the boys did not disappoint- it was a real boxing match. After 3 hard fought rounds and lots of solid punches, the judges called a unanimous decision for KEITH GALE.
Some of the notables in the crowd included MARTINA McBRIDE, RANDY OWEN, RODNEY ATKINS, CURB Pres DOUG JOHNSON and SONY Chairman JOE GALANTE.
