The new partners, to be formally announced TODAY, include HYUNDAI DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY, which will manufacture the receivers; satellite operator INTELSAT; ST ELECTRONICS; HARMONIC; NDS; and SYNCHRONOSS. RAYSAT is making the system's rooftop antennae.
The system plans to offer 20 satellite radio channels and 22 TV channels, and has deals for AVIS and BUDGET to offer the service as an option in rental cars.
