EMI To Outsource Distribution

Moving in the same direction as the other three majors who have already outsourced manufacturing and distribution, EMI will transition its physical pick, pack and ship distribution function to SONY DADC, beginning in the SUMMER of 2009. At the same time, EMI continues to invest in its digital supply chain.
EMI will maintain a dedicated retail customer service department in JACKSONVILLE and will work with SONY DADC to make this transition as seamless as possible for their retail customers. EMI points out that this will in no way impact EMI’s sales and commercial development teams or its digital supply chain.
UNIVERSAL MUSIC outsources its distribution and manufacturing to SONY DADC and WARNER MUSIC outsources distribution and manufacturing to CINRAM,
Due to the very specialized nature of their retail supply chain, EMI CHRISTIAN MUSIC GROUP will continue to operate its Physical Distribution function in JACKSONVILLE and will not be outsourcing to SONY DADC.
