AFTRA and the SCREEN ACTORS GUILD have reached a tentative three-year contract agreement with the AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF ADVERTISING AGENCIES and the ASSOCIATION OF NATIONAL ADVERTISERS that provides for a 5% pay increase.
The new deal includes a two-year pilot study testing a new model for payment based on viewership rather than number of airings; it also adds a pay structure for Internet ads and $21 million more for the union pension and health plans.
The deal must be approved by the boards of both unions.
