April 6, 2009 at 6:05 PM (PT)
CHRIS BROWN arrived at a LOS ANGELES courthouse today (APRIL 6th) at around 3:30p and pleaded not guilty to two felony counts of aggravated assault and criminal threats. He was charged for choking, biting and punching his 21-year-girlfriend, singer RIHANNA, .
BROWN's attorney MARK GERAGOS is seeking to negotiate a plea deal with prosecutors to prevent the teen from being charged with a felony. He is seeking to avoid having a "strike" on BROWN’s record under CALIFORNIA’s Three Strikes law. The negotiations have been described as"intense," a source told the NEW YORK DAILY NEWS. "It's expected to be resolved at some point soon. RIHANNA wants it resolved as well," the source said.
Since the incident, RIHANNA and BROWN have reunited on both coasts with some sources saying the BARBADOS-born beauty is not inclined to testify for the prosecution.
"She has no interest in testifying," a source told THE NEWS.
