Citadel Execs Take Home Less

CITADEL BROADCASTING's 10-K annual report filed with the SEC shows that CEO FARID SULEMAN made $6,081,890 in total compensation last year, mostly in stock awards, but that SULEMAN actually took home only $1,262,248, including his $1.25 million base salary (the same as in 2006 and 2007) plus $12,248 in other benefits (use of corporate jet, 401(k) matching, life insurance premium), rejecting the stock awards effective APRIL 1st. SULEMAN's compensation dropped substantially from 2007, when his total take in cash and stock totalled $11,215,925, and 2006, when the total was $17.936,993.
The same filing showed that COO JUDY ELLIS made a total of $754,840 ($500,000 base, $100,000 bonus, $152,500 in stock awards, $2,340 in 401(k) matching and life insurance), down from $2.06 million total in 2007 and $1.9 million in 2006, and CFO RANDY TAYLOR made $382,207 total, down from $483,765 in 2007. VP/General Counsel/Secretary JACQUELYN J. ORR made a total of $416,915, off from $772,843 in 2007 and $502,969 in 2006.
