Keke Luv Becomes Marathon Man
April 16, 2009 at 7:26 AM (PT)
PEAKE BROADCASTING Top 40 KSAS (103.3 KISS-FM)/BOISE PD/afternoon star KEKE LUV is going to push the limits of his endurance beginning this SUNDAY (4/19) when he will run the first of seven consecutive daily full marathons -- all to call awareness to child abuse, as APRIL is NATIONAL CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION MONTH.
To get an idea of how long a marathon is -- it's 26.2 miles! LUV has been training for this for huge event for the past 6 months. Check out the video from KTVB-TV when you click here.
You'll recall last year, (NET NEWS 4/10/08) KEKE completed a GUINNESS WORLD RECORD 175-hour on-air marathon for the same cause. He received Congressional recognition for the event on the floor of the UNITED STATES HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, but gracefully declined acceptance of the GUINNESS WORLD RECORD for fear it would detract focus from his efforts to raise awareness for child abuse.
