Max Media's Denver Deal Gets Filed With FCC

MAX MEDIA, through subsidiary DRC ACQUISITION CO., has filed the paperwork with the FCC for the acquisition of KTNI and KONN/DENVER from debtor-in-possession DENVER RADIO COMPANY. DRC is selling Top 40 KONN (HOT 107.1)/STRASBURG, CO and its booster in COMMERCE CITY and Top 40/Rhythmic KONN (107.1 ONE-FM)/ to MAX for payment of $11.7 million to creditor GUGGENHEIM CORPORATE FUNDING LLC, plus assumed liabilities and additional cash up to either $300,000 or $350,000 depending on a court decision on an amendment to the loan. MAX MEDIA took over operation of the stations under an LMA dated NOVEMBER 26th, 2008.
In other deals filed with the FCC, EDGEWATER BROADCASTING, INC. is selling FM translator W209BT/MAUSTON, WI to BARABOO BROADCASTING CORPORATION for $21,000; ALABAMA CHRISTIAN RADIO, INC. is selling FM translator W245AW/LA GRANGE, GA to EAGLE'S NEST, INC. for $30,000; RADIO TRAINING NETWORK, INC. is selling FM translator W223AZ/RICHMOND, VA to VIRGINIA TECH FOUNDATION, INC. for $55,000; and HORIZON CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP is selling FM translator K279AM/TURLOCK, CA for $50,000.
