NAB and the DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES are working together to educate the public about the swine flu virus and provide preventative strategies that could help curb future outbreaks.
Radio and television public service announcements produced by HHS are now available on NAB Spot Center, a Web site designed to assist broadcasters with public service initiatives. There are six 30-second radio PSAs (3 in English, 3 in Spanish).
"During times of emergency, local radio and television stations take seriously our role as the trusted provider of accurate information that can often result in lives being saved," said NAB EVP DENNIS WHARTON. "NAB is proud to partner with HHS on this important initiative, and we're encouraging all broadcast stations to air these PSAs as much as possible."
