Multiple CBS/Houston Staff Changes
May 15, 2009 at 9:35 AM (PT)
There have been several lineup changes at CBS Hot AC KHMX (MIX 96-5) and sisters Top 40 KKHH (HOT 95-5) and Sports KILT-A (SPORTSRADIO 610)/HOUSTON. First off, MIX and HOT PD MARK ADAMS announced that KKHH afternooner DAVE MORALES will move to that same slot at KHMX. MARK also answered the burning question about where KADEN was headed, (NET NEWS 5/14), with the news that KADEN will take over afternoon drive at KKHH.
ADAMS said, "DAVE has done an exemplary job on HOT 95-7 since our station's sign-on in MARCH of last year. DAVE was the first DJ on HOT, originally in mornings before moving to afternoons, and has made valuable contributions both on the air and in the building. We would not be where we are at today if not for his energy and enthusiasm. For many of those same reasons, I’m now enlisting his aid as we work on bringing MIX 96-5 back to the level of success that station deserves. Please join me in congratulating DAVE on this important move.
"I'm also pleased to announce the addition of a new member of the HOT 95-7 staff. Effective MONDAY, (5/18), KADEN will be taking over afternoons on HOT. KADEN most recently worked for CBS/DALLAS at KMVK, and his previous career stops include PHOENIX, MINNEAPOLIS and NEW YORK at Z100. KADEN brings the same level of passion, focus and professionalism we’ve come to expect from everyone on Hot and I’m confident he’ll do a great job for us in afternoons."
Former KHMX PD and current morning host KEITH SCOTT and his producer JOHN WHALEN have made an exit. ALL ACCESS hears that a morning announcement for KHMX is coming, soon.
More Cuts At KILT-A, Hot 95.7
ALL ACCESS has also confirmed job cuts at CBS RADIO's HOUSTON cluster, where Sports KILT-A (SPORTSRADIO 610) PD BILL VAN RYSDAM and GSM JOHN BREJOT and Top 40 KKHH (HOT 95.7) GSM CORINA ALLEN were among those let go.
