SKYLINE BROADCASTERS Talk KGEZ-A (Z-600, THE EDGE)/KALISPELL owner and host JOHN STOKES has won a delay in his battle with the U.S. Trustee's office over its motion to convert his Chapter 11 voluntary bankruptcy to Chapter 7 liquidation. The hearing in the matter, originally set for JUNE 18th, has been moved by U.S. Bankruptcy Judge RALPH KIRSCHER to JULY 16th upon STOKES' motion. The government moved on APRIL 22nd to convert the case to Chapter 7, and STOKES' attorney filed a response MAY 1st.
STOKES filed for bankruptcy on MARCH 4th in the wake of losing a defamation judgment for saying on the air that RV dealership and auction barn owner DAVAR GARDNER and his son TODD GARDNER lied under oath and submitted a false affidavit during previous litigation with STOKES, and obtained a bank loan using fraud.
