FCC Says No To Bid To Revive Wyoming AM CP
June 19, 2009 at 11:10 AM (PT)
The FCC has denied TIMOTHY C. CUTFORTH's bid to restore the expired construction permit for KJJL-A/PINE BLUFFS, WY. CUTFORTH got the initial CP for 900 watts daytime and 700 watts nights on 540 AM, with an expiration date of JULY 28, 2008; four days after the expiration, CUTFORTH filed an application for a license to cover and also failed to include daytime full proof of performance and other required exhibits. He asked for an extension of time to file the documentation and Special Temporary Authority to resume testing, which were denied by the FCC. The Commission ruled that CUTFORTH's tardiness were not due to circumstances beyond his control.
The Commission also fined URBAN RADIO, III, LLC $10,000 for public file violations at KVTO-A/BERKELEY, CA and fined JOHN REYNOLDS $250 for a late license renewal application for FM translator W267AD/BRYSON CITY, NC.
