In a deal with prosecutors, singer CHRIS BROWN has plead guilty to felony assault in a LOS ANGELES court for an incident between him and singer RIHANNA. According to TMZ, BROWN won't do jail time, but gets five years probation and has to perform 180 days of community labor in VIRGINIA.
An L.A. TIMES story reports that he either do the "community labor -- such as graffiti removal or trash pickup" -- or do six months in jail. BROWN will also undergo domestic violence counseling. Judge PATRICIA SCHNEGG has allowed BROWN to complete counseling, community labor and probation in his native VIRGINIA, "but is to be treated there like any other offender." She also issued "a stay-away" order barring him from having contact with RIHANNA.
Last FEBRUARY, BROWN was arrested for allegedly beating and threatening RIHANNA during an argument in a rented LAMBORGHINI as they drove home from a pre-GRAMMY party.
