LARADIO.COM reports that "after a dozen years as PD at CBS' KLSX, JACK SILVER was let go when the FM Talk station was silenced to make room for the hard-driving Top 40 outlet, AMP RADIO at 97.1. After just four months away -- beginning this morning -- SILVER returns to the CBS building as Dir./Integrated Marketing and Promotion for Classic Hits KRTH (K-EARTH) and Smooth Jazz KTWV (THE WAVE).
"JACK will look for opportunities that market the radio stations and monetize them at the same time," said CBS RADIO/L.A. Pres. ED KRAMPF. "Because JACK is a former program director, before a sales idea gets to PAUL GOLDSTEIN [PD at KTWV] and JHANI KAYE [PD at KRTH], JACK will work with the AE and the client to come back with something that works for everybody. He has the sensibility with what really works on-air and what works in the real world."
Said SILVER, "These are two great radio stations and this move allows me to transition into an area of our industry that will help me to grow as a sales-oriented manager, developing programs for advertisers and drive audience share for the stations."
