ESPN Thinks Local For New Websites

ESPN plans to expand the local sports website concept it unveiled in CHICAGO to NEW YORK, LOS ANGELES, and DALLAS, the network announced TODAY (7/20). The sites will incude online radio and podcasts from the network's own radio stations in each market, along with video and original content.
The ESPN CHICAGO site was developed from content originating from ESPN RADIO Sports WMVP-A (ESPN 1000)/CHICAGO's old website, and ESPN RADIO has O&O stations in NEW YORK (WEPN-A (1050 ESPN)), LOS ANGELES (KSPN-A (710 ESPN)), and DALLAS (KESN (103.3 ESPN)) as well. ESPN will launch the DALLAS site in the FALL and the others early in 2010.
