NAACP/Detroit Supports Performance Fee

"The DETROIT branch of the NAACP is backing U.S. Rep. JOHN CONYERS and others supporting the bill that would pay royalties to performers when their music is played on the radio," reports THE CHICAGO TRIBUNE.
"The Rev. WENDELL ANTHONY heads the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF COLORED PEOPLE in DETROIT. He's appearing at a news conference TUESDAY morning to support the bill now before Congress.
"DUKE FAKIR of THE FOUR TOPS and others also will attend."
