The SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA BROADCASTERS ASSOCIATION's General Managers have confirmed the organization's new executive board makeup for 2009-11. CBS RADIO SVP/Market Manager ED KRAMPF will serve as Chairman of the SCBA Board of Directors, with UNIVISION RADIO SVP/Regional Mgr. MICHELLE HOHMAN back as Vice Chairman, CITADEL President/Western Legacy Markets and LOS ANGELES Dir. of Sales CRAIG ROSSI as Secretary, and EMMIS VP VAL MAKI-CANDIDO as Treasurer. "Radio in SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA is alive and well," said KRAMPF. "Our own experience with our newest format has clearly demonstrated that the power of compelling radio continues to energize the younger and more traditional radio listeners, and all the stations in LOS ANGELES have demonstrated loyal and dedicated listenership. There is tremendous value to the emotional connection of LA listeners for all our advertisers. We have developed many millionaire owners of businesses in LOS ANGELES through radio advertising. We are confident we will be developing many, many more."
"There is no question that Radio in SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA is short-changed in recognition of its tremendous capabilities to drive traffic and make the unknown as familiar as a FACEBOOK friend," said SCBA President MARY BETH GARBER. "It is one of the best kept secrets of thousands of advertisers who use local radio stations here every year to grow their businesses and their brands. Our job is to help clients and ad agencies understand how much the addition of radio to their media mix can improve the ROI of their advertising."
