Les Lye Dies At 84

Condolences to family and friends of longtime OTTAWA broadcaster and actor LES LYE, who died TUESDAY at 84. 

LYE started in radio at CFRA-A/OTTAWA in 1948 and later switched to CTV affiliate CJOH-TV in 1961, where he appeared on several shows. He became familiar to a generation of Canadian and American kids as the sole adult cast member of "YOU CAN'T DO THAT ON TELEVISION," a signature show for the NICKELODEON cable network in the 1980's.
