In an SEC filing, radio streaming service FLYCAST reported that it raised $2.1 million in new funding. PAIDCONTENT.ORG reported that a spokesperson for the company didn't identify the sources of the funding or the purpose for the new cash.
FLYCAST produces a smart phone/desktop app that allows users to listen for free to over 1,500 web and radio channels. A recently announced BLACKBERRY app features a premium option which, for a one-time fee, caches content that can be heard even when it's not connected to a wireless network.
