On FRIDAY (7/31), ENTERCOM Adult Hits WNTR (107.9 THE TRACK)/INDIANAPOLIS announced plans for a new three-hour daily block of commercial-free music, 9a-noon, every MONDAY through SATURDAY morning.
Today (8/3), 107.9 THE TRACK removed traditional commercial breaks from 9a-noon. In conjunction with new feature, the station’s personality lineup is adjusted as follows:
6-9a -- GREG BROWNING
9a-noon -- "COMMERCIAL-FREE MUSIC"
12-6p -- KELLI JACK
6p-mid -- J.C.
Dir./Operations & Programming SCOTT SANDS commented, "We can’t think of a better way to encourage listeners to bring a radio into the workplace or choose THE TRACK while running errands and doing work around the house. This is our way to give INDIANAPOLIS the best music entertainment possible on local radio."
VP/GM & Market Mgr. PHIL HOOVER added, "As the market prepares for electronic audience measurement with ARBITRON's Portable People Meter, our new commercial-free 9-noon segment really differentiates THE TRACK from every other radio station in town. Since we play everything, 107.9 THE TRACK is the most obvious station for everyone to enjoy at work."
