Former ENTERCOM Sports WSSP-A/MILWAUKEE host and SPORTING NEWS RADIO and CBS RADIO Sports WSCR-A (670 THE SCORE)/CHICAGO anchor CLIFF SAUNDERS is joining BONNEVILLE Sports WXOS (101 ESPN)/ST. LOUIS as Sports Anchor, starting MONDAY (8/10). SAUNDERS will handle updates in mornings and middays and will also host the weekly RAMS post-game show with former RAMS and CARDINALS coach JIM HANIFAN.
SAUNDERS said, "I am excited to be coming to ST. LOUIS -- truly one of the best sports cities in the country. From the first time I visited the city I have loved the passion that ST. LOUIS sports fans have for their hometown teams. To go to BUSCH STADIUM and see over forty-thousand people wearing red is truly an amazing sight. My father in law has been a CARDINALS fan for seventy years and ST. LOUIS has been a place I have wanted to come to for a very long time. I am truly looking forward to making it my home."
PD JASON BARRETT added, "CLIFF SAUNDERS is someone I’ve scouted for the past few years, and during that time, I’ve learned that in addition to being a very talented broadcaster, he also has a strong passion for radio and a burning desire to win. He’s well respected by many in the industry -- and with 18 years of experience on both the national and local levels -- he’s someone who I am confident will be able to come in and take on multiple responsibilities to support our continued evolution as one of the premier sports radio stations in the country. I’m very excited about his addition to the 101 ESPN roster."
