At a town hall meeting in FLOYD, NY MONDAY, EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION apologized to local residents for interference caused by its transmitter for Christian Country WOKR (GOD'S COUNTRY)/REMSEN-UTICA, NY and said that it is open to the idea of raising the antenna to reduce emissions levels on the ground or moving the transmitter elsewhere, reports NBC affiliate WKTV (TV).
An FCC report showed excessive RF levels during a three-day period in JULY, and neighbors had complained of health problems and interference with appliances and televisions from the station.
EMF VP/Engineering SAM WALLINGTON and Rep. MICHAEL ARCURI (D-NY) attended the meeting.
