Former NAB Pres. DAVID REHR, who resigned abruptly earlier this year after the group suffered several legislative setbacks, is joining LEADING AUTHORITIES, according to an e-mail sent from the firm's president THURSDAY to ROLL CALL, which writes "LEADING AUTHORITIES is best-known for linking advocacy associations with speakers, including former Members of Congress and political pundits."
The e-mail, sent by MARK FRENCH and obtained by ROLL CALL, says that REHR is joining the group "in a senior advisory capacity to help associations, chambers of commerce, and nonprofit organizations design and stage high-impact WASHINGTON Fly-Ins." Fly-ins, says ROLL CALL "are lobby days that interest groups organize to bring in constituents from across the country to push the organizations’ agendas."
Prior to the NAB, REHR served as Pres./CEO of the NATIONAL BEER WHOLESALERS ASSOCIATION and was a lobbyist for the NATIONAL FEDERATION OF INDEPENDENT BUSINESS.
