WTMD Uses New Zune HD As Incentive For Pledges

TOWSON UNIVERSITY triple A WTMD/BALTIMORE has just started it’s third annual WTMD HOOD TO HOOD CHALLENGE. Listeners are invited to create their own pledge page to represent their "hood" on wtmd.org, then ask their friends, family and colleagues to become members as well and help support the station they love. The neighborhood that collects the most pledges will have the honor of hosting WTMD’s 7TH BIRTHDAY PARTY at the end of the SEPTEMBER.
Any hood that raises over $3,000 for WTMD will also receive a Zune HD media player so that they can listen to WTMD 89.7 HD-1 and 89.7 HD-2 "THE BALTIMORE CHANNEL." The BALTIMORE CHANNEL is an HD2 channel that spun off of the station’s BALTIMORE UNSIGNED feature and focuses exclusively on local bands. The channel also streams on the station’s website.
As an aside, author GEOFFREY HIMES has just written a story in BALTIMORE MAGAZINE about how WTMD has grown into being one the best radio stations in the city.
