WMAC's Krok Takes On Council President

CUMULUS Talk WMAC-A/MACON morning host CHRIS KROK is in the middle of news again, this time managing to get ejected from the MACON City Council President's press conference TODAY (10/29)... and getting the entire press corps thrown out with him. The problem came when KROK showed up for Council President MIRIAM PARIS' hearing on charges of resisting and interfering with a police officer and failure to keep her dog on a leash; when KROK attempted to join the press at PARIS' post-hearing press conference, he was barred from entry by PARIS and her attorney. When KROK insisted to enter as a member of the press, PARIS' attorney ejected the entire press corps from the press conference. KROK said, through the door, that he would stay with the press all day to ask questions, and PARIS' attorney threatened him with stalking charges.
KROK also got action in another story, coming to the aid of parents fighting to keep a third grader who had brought a knife to school to "cut out students eyes and eat them" and "kill the teacher and a student", out of the classroom. After parents came on KROK's show to complain that the school planned to put the girl back in class despite the threats, TUCKER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL Principal KIM HALSTEAD relented and will keep the girl away from class.
