CBS RADIO will air some of its stations on the HD-2 and HD-3 multicast channels of its FMs in additional markets starting TODAY (10/30).
Among the additions, Sports WFAN-A/NEW YORK will be heard on WOCL-HD3/ORLANDO, WLLD-HD3/TAMPA and WEAT-HD3/WEST PALM BEACH. Alternative KROQ/LOS ANGELES will air over KSCF-HD3/SAN DIEGO; KSCF's primary signal, Hot AC KSCF (SOPHIE@103.7), already airs on KAMP-HD2/LOS ANGELES. Next month, Sports WBZ-F (THE SPORTS HUB)/BOSTON will air on WTIC-HD3/HARTFORD.
"From its inception, CBS RADIO has embraced HD Radio and aggressively moved to upgrade our stations with this forward-thinking technology," said VP/Programming CHRIS OLIVIERO. "Digital radio has afforded the industry a way to expand its audience and increase brand awareness, while giving listeners unmatched sound quality. We’re thrilled to expose our best in class stations to like-minded audiences in cities across the county."
CBS RADIO NEW YORK VP/Programming and WFAN OM MARK CHERNOFF added, "WFAN is a renowned brand with fans of the station located all over the UNITED STATES -- many of them in FLORIDA. As the home to many transplanted New Yorkers, Floridians will now have an outlet to hear about and discuss NEW YORK sports."
