WAY-FM MEDIA GROUP network morning show "MORNINGS WITH BRANT" host BRANT HANSEN traveled to KABUL, AFGHANISTAN to visit a CURE INTERNATIONAL hospital during the week of NOVEMBER 9th. HANSEN phoned into the show all week to share his experiences. Over 2,000 listeners pledged support to CURE INTERNATIONAL to provide blankets to pregnant mothers in AFGHANISTAN as well as pre-natal and post-natal care.
"This just seemed like the right time for this. AFGHANISTAN is on everyone's mind and on our hearts, too. CURE is doing something remarkable there. The founders are Kingdom-minded people and their work of healing does 'change everything', like their tag line says. It's amazing," said HANSEN.
"The response from WAY-FM listeners was overwhelming. Because of their generosity, these AFGHAN mothers will leave our hospital having received high-quality health care and a warm blanket. In addition, they will know that people in AMERICA, who they will never meet, care about them enough to make a donation to provide care for them. What an incredible encouragement this will be to these women and their families!" said CURE Sr. VP/Communications and Donor Relations LISA WOLF.
