Deals: Washington FMs, PA Noncomm; EMF Closes On WURK

SOUTH BEND BROADCASTING, L.L.C. is selling KLSY/SOUTH BEND, WA to JODESHA BROADCASTING, INC. for $100,000.
In other deals filed with the FCC, NORTHWEST INDY RADIO is transferring the construction permit for KEFL/WESTPORT, WA to GRAYS HARBOR INSTITUTE for no consideration.
FOUR RIVERS COMMUNITY BROADCASTING CORP. is selling the construction permit for noncommercial WZXF/HUSTONTOWN, PA to INVISIBLE ALLIES MINISTRIES for $1.
GREAT COMMISSION COMMUNICATIONS OF NORTH IOWA, INC. is selling FM translators K222AE/SPRINGFIELD, MN; K223AB/MASON CITY, IA; and K252DM/AUSTIN, MN to MINN-IOWA CHRISTIAN BROADCASTING, INC. for $2,000.
And EXTREME MEDIA GROUP, LLC is transferring FM translator W275BK/DECATUR, GA to RADIO ONE's ROA LICENSES in settlement of a separate legal dispute. The legal issues arose over former RADIO ONE ATLANTA OM STEVE HEGWOOD's departure from the company and formation of his own company, a dispute that involved the abortive launch of an Urban format on W275BK as "STREETZ 102.9."
In a deal not yet filed with the FCC, MARCOS RODRIGUEZ is buying three GLENWOOD SPRINGS, CO-area translators, K230AZ, K242BL, and K272AI, from JOHN DADY for an undisclosed price, according to the ASPEN DAILY NEWS.
EMF Closes On WURK
BACKYARD BROADCASTING has closed on the sale of WURK/ELWOOD-MUNCIE, IN to EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION for $750,000.
BACKYARD continues to own six other stations in the MUNCIE-MARION area.
