The DALLAS MORNING NEWS is reporting that 60 signed guitars to be auctioned off for charity were stolen from a GARLAND, TX storage facility on CHRISTMAS EVE.
Proceeds from the auction of the guitars, signed by artists like TAYLOR SWIFT and NASCAR driver TONY STEWART, were going to benefit the FRIENDS OF PURTIS CREEK STATE PARK, a non profit that sponsors a kids' fishing day and special events on EASTER and HALLOWEEN.
BRIAN HUGHES, who collected the guitars and autographs, asks that if anyone has any information about the missing guitars to call the GARLAND POLICE DEPARTMENT at (972) 485-4840 and ask for Detective HARRISON.
Those who are interested in helping replace the stolen guitars can make a donation at www.friendsofpurtiscreek.com.
