January 15, 2010 at 4:30 AM (PT)
SAM ZELL told CNBC WEDNESDAY that TRIBUNE CO. "is doing really well" and "it's reasonable to assume that it will come out (of bankruptcy) probably in the first half of this year."
"I think that an awful lot of the steps that the management of this company has taken to change the model, to reduce costs, to make the operations more efficient have all been coming through, ZELL, the Chairman of TRIBUNE, told anchor MARIA BARTIROMO. "So I'm very optimistic about the future of the company." He has previously projected the company's emerging from Chapter 11 bankruptcy as possible in first quarter 2010.
