WCBS-A New York's Top Biller In '09 Miller Kaplan Rankings

CBS RADIO News WCBS-A/NEW YORK rode the World Champion YANKEES to the top of NEW YORK's MILLER, KAPLAN, ARASE AND CO. revenue leaders list for 2009, reports CRAIN'S NEW YORK BUSINESS. WCBS, in its first number-one showing, was joined in the top 5 by sister News WINS-A, CLEAR CHANNEL Top 40 WHTZ (Z100) and AC WLTW, and CBS Sports WFAN-A.

While he wouldn't comment on the rankings, CBS NEW YORK VP of Sales MICHAEL WEISS noted an upswing in advertising and said, "It's not just in NEW YORK, but in a bunch of markets. Last year it was doom and gloom. Now automotive is back, banks are back. The environment is getting better."
