BBR/NASHVILLE's JASON ALDEAN is kicking off his "Wide Open" arena tour, starting FRIDAY (1/22) in GREENVILLE, SC with a sold-out crowd. Over 11,000 tickets were sold for the first stop, which marks the most tickets sold by a Country artist since BNA/NASHVILLE star KENNY CHESNEY stopped there in 2006.
On SATURDAY (1/23) ALDEAN will play to a hometown crowd of 7000 in MACON, GA, a show that sold out two months in advance. ALDEAN previously sold out 17 consecutive dates on the fall run of the tour.ALDEAN said: “We’ve spent the last few weeks at home revamping our show, adding new production elements and working on our set lists to make this leg of the 'Wide Open' tour better than ever. The fans are showing us so much love ... there’s no better feeling in the world than taking the stage when the place is sold out ... it’s a total adrenaline rush. I live for it. Get ready GREENVILLE and MACON ... we’re ready to show you the time of your lives.”
COUNTRY FINANCIAL has signed on as the presenting sponsor on a portion of the tour, making the shows part of their “Road Trips and Guitar Picks” concert series. "The Road Trips and Guitar Picks" website will feature prizes, games, and the opportunity to interact with other fans. Check out the website at www.tripsandpicks.com.
