The BELCOURT THEATRE in NASHVILLE is offering their BELCOURT FOOD & WINE NIGHT this THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 4th, and this week's film is the 1996 cult classic about a 1950's ITALIAN restaurant, "Big Night," starring STANLEY TUCCI, TONY SHALHOUB, and MINNIE DRIVER.
In the filming of the movie they needed to have 5 Timpani, which is a rare, multi-layered NORTHERN ITALIAN dish that takes all day to prepare. The Timpano, along with all the other food in the movie was made by NASHVILLE resident DIANE BISHOP, who happens to be the lovely and talented wife of SONY MUSIC NASHVILLE Sr. VP/Promotion, SKIP BISHOP.
When asked about it SKIP replied: " It's no secret that my beautiful DIANE is a rock star in the kitchen....and creates some of the most artistic culinary accomplishments this side of PARIS. But, she has never re-attempted the Timpano from the film. I've asked many times but get kinda of a "been there, done that" look."
