ALBANY BROADCASTING has dropped the Talk format at WROW-A/ALBANY, NY. The station is now simulcasting sister AC WKLI (MAGIC 100.9), which will air on both frequencies for a few months before permanently moving to the AM side, according to the ALBANY TIMES-UNION.
GM CHUCK BENFER told the paper that a new format will air on the FM but would not disclose what format it will be. WROW morning co-host STEVE VANZANDT, News Dir. HEIDI KELLY, and news producer TOM RIGATI are exiting with the change; morning co-host JACKIE DONOVAN remains with the station.
As of midday MONDAY, WROW's online stream was airing DENNIS MILLER's show via WESTWOOD ONE's raw feed, with a local ID at the top of the hour but no newscast. The AM signal was airing MAGIC's programming.
