LONDON's digital radio operations will get a power increase later this year, reports MEDIA WEEK. The power boost, planned by DIGITAL RADIO U.K. partner ARQIVA in parallel with partner BBC's addition of digital transmitters over the past year, will involve adding new transmitters for the region to improve coverage.
"Digital radio boasts a host of benefits for listeners and it is our highest priority to ensure those benefits are universally available before digital switchover happens," said DIGITAL RADIO U.K. Chief Executive FORD ENNALS. "The development of a plan to boost the signal in LONDON is the beginning of a process which will see us build coverage and deliver a digital signal to everyone across the UK."
